At Keystone Camp, we foster a safe and inclusive community where we encourage girls to try new things, embrace challenges, and build meaningful friendships. We are intentionally small, and we pride ourselves on knowing each one of our girls individually. We share a community and a culture of support, encouragement, and strength. Campers get to be themselves; to be who they want to be. We want our girls to know that there is no limit on what they can achieve.

A Place for Every Girl 

Since opening in 1916, Keystone Camp has been led by the same family for five generations and is the oldest private summer camp in the Southeast. Nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains of Western North Carolina, we’re surrounded by gorgeous peaks and valleys, providing the perfect backdrop for a summer camp experience and giving girls the opportunity to learn about themselves and the world around them. Our campers love to explore our region, and we offer multiple trips out of camp each day to take advance of our natural resources.

Choose Your Own Adventure

Activities are about the individual camper experience. Campers choose their own activity schedule from a list of nearly 30 different programs. From rock climbing to arts and crafts, horseback riding and beyond, there is an activity for every girl. We’re a special place among girls’ camps, as all our instructional staff are women. Your daughter will learn new skills from other women.

Belong to Something Bigger

Campers come to Keystone from over 20 states and 3-5 foreign countries each summer. With many of our staff as former campers themselves, we also draw staff from countries around the world. Every camper is a unique individual who brings a piece of herself to us, and we value and honor the contributions of each girl. Keystone girls realize the joy of contributing to the well-being of others and to the well-being of a community. We want our girls to feel a sense of belonging to something larger than themselves. Our tight-knit camp community functions as a large family. Our program intentionally provides opportunities for our girls to interact across all ages and interests.
